Express Discount Asset Management Limited (“EDAM Nigeria”) evolved as a full fledged company from the Asset Management unit of Express Discount Limited (“EDL”).  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Discount Limited (EDL).

Express Discount Limited was incorporated on the 25th of November 1992 as a private limited liability company and specialist financial institution. It was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria on 22nd July, 1993 to carry out the functions of a discount house and commenced full operations on Friday July, 1993.

EDAM Nigeria evolved following a significant growth in the assets and performance of the Asset Management Unit of EDL.  In order to maximize investment opportunities and returns from this line of business, EDAM Nigeria was incorporated and licensed to engage essentially in Asset Management Business. EDAM Nigeria is registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) as Broker/Dealer, Portfolio/Fund Manager. It is also a Dealing Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
